Racks
Rack Supported Buildings
A Rack Supported Building is an entirely autonomous system of storage racks that serves as the fundamental structural framework of the building. This approach to constructing buildings minimizes the building footprint and lowers construction costs and lead times while offering the highest-density storage solution for almost every kind of pallet rack. In simpler terms, the building constitutes the rack system and the rack system constitutes the building.
Advantages:
- Maximum storage density on a small floor space can be achieved by this particular type of structure.
- Construction time and cost are significantly lower than with other traditional storage solutions.
- Simple integration process with an AS/RS system.
- Other racking systems, such as Drive in Drive Through Racking Systems, Semi-automated Racking Systems, and Selective Pallet Racking Systems, are also pertinent.
- Makes use of height (up to 130 feet) rather than land area.
Points to be noted:
- Since the rack serves as a structure for the building, attempting to alter the rack will be exceedingly expensive and affect the overall stability of the building.
